Ondřej Vinklát

Ondřej Vinklát graduated from the City of Prague Dance Conservatory in 2011. While still a student there, in September 2009, he became a member of TKP Bohemia Ballet, where he drew considerable attention to his rendition of solo parts in Boléro, Sinfonietta, Le Papillon (music of Jacques Offenbach, choreographer Maria Taglioni), Indigo Rose (Yaron Daffan – Jiří Kylián), Suite en blanc (Edouard Lalo – Serge Lifar), The Rose, Gayaneh, and other productions. On stage, he typifies the versatile dancer equally fit to interpret classical and modern repertoire. At the third edition of the Ballet Days Olomouc international festival, in November 2011, he won Grand Prix in the Senior Duo category, in tandem with Kateřina Plachá.

The Prague State Opera in cooperation with the Slovart publishing house publishes a representative book tracking the history of this significant cultural institution since its opening in 1888 till the end of the 2002/2003 season. The publication called The Prague State Opera – Theatre History in Pictures and Dates is focusing solely on the opera featured at the scene, even though the theatre under various names also served to presentation of drama plays, operettas and ballet. The Prague State opera plans to publish the volumes concentrating on those genres in the next years.
